The Investigative Committee anonymously received evidence that on that ill-fated evening, his double was actually driving a car belonging to Mikhail Efremov. This is confirmed by the fact that Efremov’s daughter stated that her father spent the whole evening at home, and he drank alcohol, but did not go out anywhere. After that, law enforcement officers knocked on their apartment early in the morning and arrested the real Mikhail Efremov.

False Efremov, meanwhile, was already in the pre-trial detention center, and it was not possible to place both men in the same cell.
